Cottagecore Cuties
Cottagecore Cuties
Nurseries are in Full Bloom!
Bring the charm and comfort of cottage core into your baby's nursery this spring! These tips are sure to help you design a nursery that is a dreamy, tranquil space.
Looking for something a bit more rustic and floral for your nursery decor? You’re not the only one: cottage-core has been steadily gaining in popularity in recent years. Here are some ideas to help you create the cottage-core nursery of your (and your little one’s!) dreams:
Cribs and Beds
Though many of the Child Craft™ beds would work well for designing a whimsical nursery, the three we’ve selected below fit the flowery cottage vibes to a “T”. These stylish pieces can help to achieve the unique feel of cottagecore:
Woodland Crib
Like the cottagecore aesthetic, the Woodland Crib is a celebration of how stylish simplicity can be. This crib features plank-style shiplap, giving it a warm and cozy feel. Additionally, the unique Brushed Truffle finish is a perfect complement to soft pastels and floral patterns. This crib brings an elevated, tasteful look to any nursery.
Garden Cottage Bunk Bed
Have two kiddos ready for a “big kid” bed? We suggest going with the Garden Cottage Bunk Bed. The top bunk is designed to look like a little cottage (so cute!), fit with two windows, roofing, and planter boxes. Not only is this bed super endearing and whimsical, it also has safety guard rails to keep your child safe, and the Montessori-style bottom bunk is extra low to the ground for comfort and easy access. This bunk bed is wonderful for both bedtime and playtime, giving your children plenty of space to stretch their creativity and imagination.
Hampton Toddler Bed
If you're looking to transition from the crib to a toddler bed and keep a cottagecore feel, we recommend the Hampton Toddler Bed! This bed comes in four unique finishes that match any decor. The bed is low to the ground and the integrated toddler bed rails ensure safety while promoting a sense of independence for your little one!
Dressers, Toy Boxes, and More!
Any cottagecore enthusiast will tell you that this aesthetic is full of whimsy, nature, warmth, and charm. Creating a nursery that both fits the style and feels complete is all about mixing and matching pieces that will complement each other. We know creating a themed, cohesive nursery can be a daunting task, so consider these key design tips:
Color Scheme
The colors of a cottagecore nursery are cozy and vintage. By choosing lighter, pastel shades of these colors, you can infuse a youthful spin. Incorporating soft shades of blue, green, yellow, orange, tan, and white are sure to add a charming touch to your baby’s nursery.

Final Touches
One of the best ways to complete a cottagecore nursery is to include elements of nature. Adding plants is the perfect way to give your nursery a summery twist. There are tons of floral nursery items out there, including quilts, wallpapers, and baby mobiles, but have you thought about adding potted plants? Here’s where begonias come in.
Matching a potted begonia with floral textiles is a creative way to make your nursery blossom. Begonias are not only non-toxic and baby-safe, they also come in a wide range of colors. We suggest pink, yellow, and/or white begonias to fit in with the aesthetic.
If live plants aren’t your thing, you can still incorporate artificial flowers into your baby’s nursery by having a flower arrangement in an antique vase. Not only does this give you an opportunity to add a vintage touch to your nursery with the vase you choose, but it also means you won’t have to worry about remembering to water them (trust us, we’ve all been there!).
